The Luxor Kings by Bus trip is our classic full-day tour to the monuments of the pharaohs. You travel early morning from Hurghada to Luxor by air-conditioned bus and begin on the West Bank with a visit to the famous Valley of the Kings, where several royal tombs are open for you to explore. Your Egyptologist guide explains the history outside, then you enter the tombs on your own.
The tour continues to the elegant Temple of Queen Hatshepsut at Deir el-Bahari and a photo stop at the Colossi of Memnon. After lunch at a local restaurant, you cross to the East Bank to visit the mighty Karnak Temple complex with its huge columns and sacred lake. In the evening you drive back to Hurghada.
The Luxor Queens by Bus program focuses more on the women and families of ancient Egypt. After arriving from Hurghada, you visit the Valley of the Queens, resting place of queens and royal children, where you enter several beautifully decorated tombs. You also visit the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut and make a stop at the Colossi of Memnon for photos.
Lunch is included, and in the afternoon the program usually includes a relaxed visit to one of Luxor’s temples on the bank of the Nile – for example Luxor Temple or a shorter visit at Karnak Temple, depending on the exact schedule. This option is great if you prefer a slightly calmer day with fewer crowds than the classic Kings route.
The Luxor Mini Tour from Hurghada is designed for guests who want the essence of Luxor in a little less time. Instead of visiting many stops, this program focuses on a few key locations such as one royal valley (Kings or Queens), Hatshepsut Temple and one major temple on the East Bank.
Because there are fewer stops, you spend more time at each site and have extra time for photos or a short Nile boat ride if offered (optional, extra charge). It is ideal for families, older guests or anyone who prefers a slightly easier pace while still enjoying the top highlights of our Luxor Trips from Hurghada.
Not usually included: drinks, optional Nile boat trip, entry to special tombs not on the standard ticket, personal expenses and tips. Before you confirm, we send you a clear list of inclusions for your chosen Luxor trip from Hurghada.
Choose Luxor Kings by Bus if you want the classic sights including the Valley of the Kings and Karnak Temple. Pick Luxor Queens by Bus if you prefer the Valley of the Queens and a slightly calmer program. The Luxor Mini Tour is best if you want fewer stops and more time at each site.
Most Luxor Trips from Hurghada last around 16–18 hours in total, including hotel pick-up, the drive to Luxor, guided visits on both banks of the Nile, lunch and the return journey to Hurghada.
Yes, many families join our Luxor excursions. We usually recommend the Luxor Mini Tour or Luxor Queens for families with younger children, as these often feel a little less intense than the classic Kings route.
